About

Last fall, Wash U redesigned their website. Before the new website smell wore off, I realized the rotating photos were silly. And their captions were beyond silly. Each day brought a new indulgent caption and awkward pose.

Wash U Photo Captions started as a Tumblr blog, and ran for about three months before Wash U filed a bogus copyright infringement notice and the site was taken down.

Never fear! I continued captioning wustl.edu photos on Twitter. It's a little ridiculous that the Tumblr was shut down in the first place, but this is Wash U we're dealing with. Wash U is the 5'3" mirrored sunglasses-wearing, Ford F-350 driving guy who speeds away when the light turns green to show you how macho he is. Wash U Photo Captions has a new home on Posterous, now with a few disclaimers.
